Happy National Coming Out Day!

Happy National Coming Out Day!  I mentioned in an earlier blog entry that I'd tell my story of coming out.  For those of you who know me, you know for a fact that I'm gay (queer as of 2026).  This is not news at all to you.  Most of you probably don't know the story of how I came out.

The story goes back to about August 2007.  I started to notice that I had a sexual attraction to the same sex.  In a way, I came out to myself at that point in time and nobody else knew until a few months later.  [REDACTED]*

*Read the note all the way down below to find out why I redacted this and if you ever find more redacted stuff in other blog entries.

October 5th, 2008 was the day I came out to everyone.  It was an easy decision and I had no real issues without it.  However, I remember pacing around my basement thinking about it and I was a bit nervous about it.  I remember being on the phone with [REDACTED] and I was telling [REDACTED] about myself coming out.  I think I wanted advice from [REDACTED], because I know [REDACTED] came out around [REDACTED].  The first person I came out to in person was my mom.  She was watching TV in the family room.  At first, she didn't believe me at all.  She actually refused to believe I was gay for a few years, she didn't accept me being gay until around 2014 or so.  I was disappointed by her reaction.  At least nowadays, my mom accepts the fact that I'm gay.  Sometimes she thought I was bisexual or even pansexual, but I reminded her that I'm gay.  I'm most comfortable with the gay label (now queer, but gay still works).

When I was going for group therapy (I wasn't there due to my LGBTQ+ status, it was for another reason) in 2008, I came out to the group and it occurred one day in October 2008.  It felt good coming out to them and they had no problem with it at all.  For most people I came across in my life, they do not have a problem with me being gay.  There were a 2-3 people online that did have a problem with myself being queer, but I will not get into that.

I hope you all having a good National Coming Out Day!  For those struggling with coming out, you don't have to do it right away.  Take all the time you need and I'm sure things will turn out fine for you in the long run.  For me coming out was not a real difficult matter.

Update: As of late July, I'm now queer.

Note: There's a certain individual who is uncomfortable when I mention things about them and us.  So out of respect, redactions needed to be made.  If you are extremely serious about wanting to know what I edited out, please contact me on Tumblr.

R.I.P. Ali Zabirov

Yes, another death to report and this one hurts.  It hurts since I'm gay and this could have been myself.  An openly gay TikTok user named Ali Zabirov was murdered.  This homophobia needs to stop.  I absolutely hate homophobia.  This is appalling.  He was probably also killed for the fact that he was a TikTok star.  There's a lot of hatred towards that platform and fascist Donald Trump is looking to ban it in the U.S.  I would also imagine he was killed by people who were jealous of him too.  I read that this guy is from Russia and Russia is ultra homophobic.  My best bet is that Zabirov was killed for being a gay person.

R.I.P. Ali Zabirov.  I didn't know you, but rest in power.  I am done with people in this world.  When will this shit stop?  For more on this, click here.

Real Post #9!

I have no idea what were the original eight entries I wrote.  In fact, I don't even remember when I started this blog in the first place.  2007?  2008?  2009?  I have no idea.  I honestly didn't document it and heck, I don't think the Wayback Machine even has it in their archives.  Sad... I only remember I decided to stop this blog for personal reasons in 2012.  Then I decided to give Blogger another stab.  Guess what?  I love it and I'll continue to write more blog entries as time goes by.

I have no idea what I wanted to write for my 9th blog entry.  Then I realized it was eleven years since I came out to everyone.  I originally came out to the love of my life in late March of 2008.  A couple of days ago was also National Coming Out Day.  I came out earlier in October of 2008.  I think it was October 5?  Yeah, it was.  It was quite a day.

Don't forget to check out blog entry #8, if you haven't read it!  Go read it!  Sorry this blog entry wasn't that great.  I had no idea what to write.  I was thinking about writing my coming out story in great detail.  Perhaps I'll write about it in a future blog entry.
